BILLING POLICY
To provide timely care and allow adequate time to deal with your concerns 19th Avenue Family Practice is a private billing practice.
Our fees are significantly below the fees recommended by the AMA. There are further discounts for everyone under 16 years, over 65 years and for those holding a valid government pension or health care card.
Holders of Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) Gold Cards are billed directly to DVA (housecalls may not be included depending on circumstances).
A schedule of fees is available at the front desk or when you ring to make an appointment please ask.
EFTPOS is available and Medicare rebates are able to be claimed immediately at the front desk minimising any inconvenience.
We understand out of pocket costs may cause difficulties for some patients. Please feel free to discuss any issues with our front desk staff or the treating doctor.
All Australian residents with Medicare cards are entitled to Medicare rebates.
Procedures are billed according to the MBS schedule of fees.
